Tips to recharge

It’s often easier to give our friends advice - “take a day off. take some time for yourself. let that ‘ish’ go”. Sound familiar?

Yep, but not always easy to do for ourselves.

Stop. Pause. Take a deep breath.

Friend, I'm here to help you reclaim a bit of sanity and time to take care of you. Remember the saying “can’t pour from an empty cup” and “put your oxygen mask on first before you can help others”?

  1. Make Time for You
You always make time for your hair appointments, right? Do the same for something just for you. Block off a little “me” time—whether it’s enjoying a hot cup of coffee in peace, taking a walk while finishing that audiobook you started, or winding down with a relaxing bath tonight.

  2. Be Picky with Your Yeses
It feels good in the moment to say yes to everything, but let’s be real: every “yes” costs you something. Say no to things that don’t bring you joy or meaning, and instead focus on the things that truly light you up. Plus, saying no might even open the door for someone else to enjoy the opportunity!

  3. Share the Daily To-dos
You don’t have to do it all yourself. Whether it’s cooking, shopping, or cleaning, ask for help or divvy up the tasks. And hey, sometimes things can just be {messy} - fill in the blanc. Let others pitch in!

  4. Put Down the Phone
Take a break from the screens. Set your phone to Do Not Disturb (I love the Family Time focus on the iPhone) and be present. Find a fun way to connect with family or friends - grab a puzzle or game —it’s such a nice way to slow down and connect.

  5. End Your Day Right
Create a little nighttime routine to unwind. You could journal a few things you’re grateful or, cozy up in a quiet spot and read for a few minutes. Try making a hot decaf tea—it’s the perfect way to end a busy day on a cozy note.
